We were supposed to go to the holding room at 6:30 this morning, but they were running late and didn't come until 7:10. When we got there we found out that there was a confusion about when he was supposed to stop eating and we had to wait until 9 am to go into surgery. During the wait another child developed come complications. In the end that child needed emergency surgery and we had to get bumped, again. We are still waiting to find out when we are rescheduled. It could be tomorrow, but there are 3 surgeries scheduled, and 2 have already been bumped twice. They are checking on the third one. Otherwise we will go even later, but we don't know when.
We believe it was God's providence that led to the confusion about when he could eat. The surgeon said that it would have been bad for the other child if we had been in surgery and he wouldn't have had the OR available for him. It's hard for us to wait when we were so prepared, but we are leaving it up to God and know that he is the great Physician. His plan is perfect and we trust Him.

You have got to be kidding- that is just crazy! Thank goodness for that precious baby who needed the surgery right then however! Keep hanging in there!
